General Questions
What kind of rewards can I get with Shping?

The more you shop and interact, the more rewards you unlock! Members who regularly upload receipts, write product reviews, activate booster offers and explore new products can redeem over $75 worth of rewards each month.

How do I unlock rewards with Shping?

Start by uploading all your purchase receipts and bills – either by snapping a photo of a printed receipt of uploading digital receipts to the app. Then, check your timeline for daily tasks like review invites and featured product discovery – checking these products out and interacting with their content, such as videos, also earns you rewards.
Don’t forget to activate weekly booster offers and join your favourite brands’ loyalty programs through Shping to unlock even more rewards!

Where does the reward I earn come from, is there a catch?

No catch. Brands fund these rewards because your shopping insights help them better understand consumer trends and build customer loyalty. We partner with a range of brands, big and small, who want to reward you directly for shopping, reviewing and interacting with their products. The more you engage, the more opportunities you unlock.

Can I earn Shping rewards on all purchases at any store?

Absolutely! Shping has no exceptions – we accept receipts from all stores and service providers.
As long as it’s a personal purchase made by you for your own use, it’s eligible. To qualify for rewards, your receipt must be a valid tax invoice, clearly photographed from top to bottom, edge to edge and show the store name and items purchased.
Not eligible: EFTPOS receipts, delivery dockets, screenshots or incomplete receipts.
Digital receipts are welcome, they just need to be uploaded as PDFs.
Our members earn rewards on everything from groceries and petrol to clothes, coffee, takeaway, bills and more.

Can I invite friends and earn referral rewards?

Yes! Once you reach Bronze level or higher, you’ll unlock one referral invite per month. When your friend processes their first withdrawal, you’ll receive around $10 worth of Shping Coins and they’ll automatically be upgraded to the same tier level as you.

Why does my rewards balance sometimes change on its own?

What you’re seeing is the estimated AUD value of your Shping Points based on the current monthly rate. This value is determined by the published rate at the time of redemption and may change when the rate is updated. Your Points balance stays the same unless you earn or redeem Points.

I got an email saying my account was flagged for activity outside the Fair Usage Policy - what does that mean?

It means your activity may have breached our Terms of Use or Fair Usage Policy. Common issues include multiple accounts in one household or uploading receipts not from your own purchases. Please review the rules carefully as repeat violations may result in a permanent ban from using Shping. Contact support if you believe this was an error.
Please review the Fair Usage Policy and make sure future activity complies. If you believe this was a mistake, feel free to contact our support team.

My account has been suspended, what should I do?

Please check your email. Your account may have been flagged for an audit review, and the email outlines the information we need from you. To proceed, provide the requested details at your earliest convenience. If no violations are found, your account will be unsuspended.

How do I Level-Up from my current tier?

Shping tiers aren’t a performance score – they’re designed to match different lifestyles and shopping habits. You’re not expected to change how often or where you shop.
That said, members who remember to:
• Upload their receipts
• Share their experiences through product reviews
• Activate booster offers
…naturally maintain higher tiers just by claiming rewards on purchases they already make.
Learn how tier movement works, including monthly requirements, by visiting this link.
For example, to move from Basic to Bronze, you need to:
• Upload receipts on 4 separate days
• Submit 3 product reviews
Once you meet these, your tier will update automatically.
• To stay in your tier: Just meet the same requirements each calendar month.
• If you miss the activity: You’ll only drop one level per month, and only on the last day of the month — even if you’ve been inactive or on holiday.
• You can move up multiple levels in one month as soon as you meet the higher-tier requirements.
To check the criteria for each tier, tap your current tier name under your profile on the timeline screen.

Receipts
What stores can I upload receipts from?

Shping rewards you for ANY in-store or online purchase. This including groceries, petrol, clothes, food, dining, travel – even utilities.

How do I upload digital receipts, including PDFs?

You can upload PDF receipts by tapping the Share icon in your PDF viewer and selecting the Shping App icon.
You can also save the PDF to your phone and upload it directly through the app.
Please make sure you’re uploading a purchase receipt – not a delivery docket, order confirmation, or EFTPOS receipt.
To be eligible for rewards, your receipt must clearly show:
• Store name
• ABN
• Items purchased
• The words “Tax Invoice”
Receipts missing any of these details may be rejected.

How can I upload a digital receipt sent as an email with no attachment?

If your receipt appears in the body of the email (not as an attachment), follow these steps:
• Select “Print” or “Print Conversation”
• iOS devices – click the Share icon on the top of Print screen, followed by selecting the Shping icon on the following screen
• Other devices – select Save as PDF, Open the Shping App and upload the saved PDF.
Important:
• Screenshots of emails or apps (e.g., McDonalds, Uber, etc.) are not accepted.
• You must locate the actual digital receipt within the app or email and share the full receipt file (PDF or attached image) with Shping.
This ensures we can verify the receipt properly and reward you accordingly

My receipt hasn't been approved, what do I do?

Receipts are usually processed within 48 hours. If your receipt is still pending after that time, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
• It requires manual review
• The image quality is poor or parts of the receipt are missing
• Key details are unclear (e.g. store name, ABN, items purchased)
• There are technical limitations preventing the system from recognising the format
In some cases, receipts may not be processed at all due to these issues.
If your receipt includes booster purchases and hasn’t been approved after 48 hours, please contact our in-app support so we can assist further.
To help avoid delays and ensure you receive rewards on every receipt, always upload a clear image of the full receipt, captured edge to edge, showing the store name, ABN, items purchased and the words “Tax Invoice”.

My receipt was rejected, why?

Receipts can be rejected for several common reasons:
• The image was blurry, cropped, or missing edges
• It didn’t include key details like the store name, ABN, items purchased, or the words “Tax Invoice”
• It was a delivery docket, order confirmation, or EFTPOS receipt (these aren’t eligible)
• The receipt was not your own personal purchase
• Or sometimes, other technical limitations may prevent the system from recognising your uploaded receipt – even if it meets all other requirements
To avoid this in the future, always upload a clear, full image of your own purchase receipt, captured edge to edge, with all required details.
If your rejected receipt included booster purchases and hasn’t been recognised after 48 hours, please contact our in-app support so we can assist.

How many receipts can I upload each day?

There’s no fixed daily limit, but Shping has safeguards in place to reflect natural shopping habits:
• You can upload up to 2 receipts per retailer per day
• And a maximum of 5 receipts per retailer every 7 days
While our Fair Usage Policy allows up to 100 receipts per calendar month, accounts may still be flagged, audited, or suspended — even below this limit — if the system detects:
• The receipts are not genuine personal purchases (i.e. not bought and paid for by you for your own use), or
• Signs of artificially increasing activity, such as splitting purchases across multiple receipts or attempting to exploit the system in any other way.
That said, if you’re only using Shping for your own personal shopping, there’s no need to worry – you’ll almost certainly stay well within the limits. These rules are in place to protect fair usage and ensure rewards go to genuine shoppers.

My receipt was accepted, but no rewards given, why?

Receipts must be uploaded within 7 days of purchase. If it’s uploaded later, it’ll still be saved in your Receipts folder, but no rewards will be given.

What is the “Needs Attention” folder and how do I map products?

The Needs Attention folder contains receipts where one or more products couldn’t be confidently identified by our system. While Shping is trained to understand most abbreviations and formats used on receipts, sometimes it encounters unfamiliar wording or layouts it can’t match to a known product.
To help improve accuracy, and earn extra rewards, you have the option to assist with mapping:
How it works:
1. Open the Needs Attention folder in the app
2. Tap on a receipt to view items the system didn’t recognise
3. Tap any unrecognised item — this will launch the barcode scanner
4. Scan the product’s barcode that matches the item on the receipt
5. Once your mapping is verified (within 1–2 days), you’ll receive bonus rewards
These receipts stay in the Needs Attention folder for 48 hours. If you choose not to take action, that’s totally fine — the receipt will automatically move out of the folder after that time.
By helping us map products, you’re improving future recognition for yourself and other Shping users – and getting rewarded for it!

Reviews
My review was rejected, what am I doing wrong?

Product reviews aren’t just about earning rewards – they’re also here to help other Shping members make smarter shopping choices.
To be approved, reviews must follow our Review Posting Guidelines.

My video reviews are now being rejected despite being the same as how I've always created reviews. Why?

To make sure reviews are useful and inspiring for other Shping members, we’ve updated our Review Posting Guidelines.
Only videos that meet these updated standards will be approved.
Heads up: recent changes mean media (photo/video) is no longer required to achieve Level-Up targets.

Why can't I add photos and/or videos to my reviews?

To maintain content quality, we review all photo and video submissions. If your uploads are repeatedly rejected for not meeting our Review Posting Guidelines, your ability to add photos or videos may be turned off.
This helps ensure the platform remains helpful and trustworthy for everyone.
You can still submit written reviews and continue earning rewards for sharing your experiences.

Boosters
How do Boosters work?

Boosters earn you extra rewards when you buy selected products.
Updated every Wednesday, the weekly offers are featured within the Booster section of the Shping app.

  • Activate the offer for each product before shopping.
  • Purchase the nominated product, within the booster period, from the defined retailer.
  • Upload your receipt within 7-days of purchase.
  • Once verified, your reward will be automatically added to your Shping Wallet.

My Booster reward hasn't processed, what do I do?

Please reach out to us via chat available under the menu tab. If an agent isn’t active please feel free to leave a message with the items name, retailer and receipt date and we’ll come back to you asap within business hours.

Will I still be rewarded if I don't upload the receipt for an activated Booster product purchase during the Booster dates?

To earn your Booster reward, the product must be both Activated and Purchased during the Booster period (Wednesday to Tuesday) – plus, the receipt uploaded within 7 days of purchase. If all that checks out, you’ll be rewarded.

Loyalty
What are loyalty cards for/how do I add them?

Shping lets you store all your loyalty cards in one place – no more digging through your wallet or apps. Just add the card or membership number for each program you’re part of. Then, when you’re shopping, open Shping and scan your loyalty card straight from the app.

How do I join a Brand Loyalty Program?

Upon uploading a receipt which includes a Shping Partner Brand, you’ll automatically receive a notification to join their Loyalty Program.

I'm a member of a brand loyalty program but my account didn't recognise a purchase I made. Now what?
